Location and Entrances
To get to the Mylodon Cave Natural Monument:

UTM-428426326S 665032.74E F18 (Entrance to the Monument)

In vehicle the total distance is 25 kilometers. Follow Route 9 North Puerto Natales-Bories for 17 km from the city of Puerto Natales until you reach the fork in the road Milodon-Cerro Castillo. From this point travel 8 kilometers on Route Y-290 which ends at the parking lot and gate to the Natural Monument located on the right side of this road. This path is part of the entrance network to the National Park Torres del Paine, Serrano Gate.

You can also hire a taxi in Puerto Natales. Taxi companies usually have a set rate to this place.

Another way to visit the Mylodon Cave Natural Monument is on a guided tour. Many companies offer short visits on your tour to Torres del Paine, but this place is well worth a half day visit, hopefully guided, which is also offered by some agencies in Puerto Natales.

If you like sports you can also visit on bike with average round riding time of 1 hour 20 minutes to the Monument and the return to Puerto Natales in 1 hour 20 minutes. All this is only recommended under favorable wind conditions for transit in this medium.
